Eliminating poverty in Navarro County by cultivating an environment in which individuals and families are empowered to achieve self-sufficiency.
Our Intake Center is the doorway to all assistance. Case Managers meet with applicants to assess needs, and provide assistance or referrals to appropriate agencies and services. Some of our in-house services include: emergency food assistance, transitional shelter for women and children, financial assistance, as well as household goods and furniture. Compassion Corsicana also provides our clients with referrals to other organizations who can assist in meeting identified needs.
“When a poor person dies of hunger, it has not happened because God did not take care of him or her. It has happened because neither you nor I wanted to give that person what he or she needed.”
— Mother theresa
